VISA application

    To take the visa:

1- Apply online via E-Visa.

    - Please choose THE HAGUE as the place of issue.

    - The dimension of the images should be 600*400 for photo and 800*600 pixels for the passport.

    - You will be asked to print the submission form (barcode) or the grant notice and send it with your passport  to the embassy.

    - After finishing the application on E-Visa, you do not have to wait for verification.

 2- Pay the Visa fee.

- Dutch nationals and holders of EU passport should pay € 60 for Entry Visa (A) and € 50 for Tourist Visa (B); while the visa fees for Non-Europeans are different (for Afghan passport/TravelDocument holders: Entry visa costs € 100 & Tourist visa € 80; for  that of Iraq -based on a bilatteral agreement- the visa is free).

- Payment could be done only by PIN and with a debit card.

- The payment is not refundable if the visa application is rejected. (Geen restitutie is mogelijk van het vooruitbetaalde visumkosten als het uitvaardigen hiervan wordt afgewezen.)

Notices:

- Tourist Visa applicants (except citizens of the countries mentioned below) do not need to wait for an approval.

- Business visa applicants with the nationalites of the following countries need to have an approval (Visa Grant Notice) before visiting the embassy:

       Bangladesh - Canada - Colombia - India - Jordan - Pakistan - UK - USA

- Passports should be valid for at least 6 months for the visa.

- Visa will be issued within 10 working days from the date you visited the Consular Section.

- You can either collect your passport or have it posted back to you by PostNL (€ 10 PIN).

- You can enter Iran within 3 months from the date of issue and you can stay in Iran for the duration period that is stated in the visa (normaly 30 days). The duration period starts when you enter Iran.

- The visa will be issued Electronically which does not need an stamped sticker attached to the passport.

 

  • Required documents to collect the visa:

- Original passport (valid for at least 6 months)

- Print of the visa submission form.

- For the holders of non-Dutch passports, proof of living in the Netherlands such as a copy of the Residence Card with at least 6 months validity or a letter from the Municipality is required.

- Valid Travel Insurance (issued by an Iranian or non-Iranian health insurance provider licensed by the Central Insurance of Iran)

- To apply a visa for children under the age of 18, parents must upload a birth certificate on E-VISA and submit its original copy to the Embassy.

 

  • Traveling by Car:

 Tourists and foreign nationals can travel to Iran by vehicle for a temporary period.

 They need to obtain the Carnet de Passage before their travel.

 The maximum stay in Iran is 3 months.

 If they are staying for more than 10 days in Iran, they also need to obtain a Temporary Registration Plate at the Border.

 The Travelers by car need to apply for a visa grant notice via a travel agency and need to obtain a visa before traveling to Iran.
